Do I have a handsome little man or what?


C had a minor bit of excitement this week when I realized that he had a dacryocystocele, which is a cyst in the tear duct. Initially it just looked like a plugged tear duct on his left eye, but there was a lump there between his eye and his nose, that got a little bigger and more irritated looking. Worried that it was getting or might get infected, we brought him in to the pediatrician and got a referral to ophthalmology -- but between 7:30 pm on Thursday (when he was at the pediatrician) and 9:00 am on Friday (when they called us with the ophtho appointment), it spontaneously drained. The opthalmologist told us they rarely come back, so all's well. These pictures are post-drainage, so he's even more handsome than before. :-)
