Recent adventures

S enjoyed making mudpies and "castles" on the beach with her grandmother. Oddly, they gave us a hard time about letting her in the water with her PFD. Apparently that's against the rules.

We visited a petting zoo the other day, which was a hit. She's a big fan of animals, now expanded to include sheep, goats, cows, ducks, and all sorts of other critters in addition to dogs and cats. She knows what sheep, ducks, and cows say. She how has a little play farm of her own at home, and it rapidly became her favorite thing to play with.

  1. Awesome. I ended up at a visiting circus's petting farm last week (camels, elephants, emus, llamas, turtles, horses, ponies, kangaroo[s?]-- all available for feeding and some for petting) -- and though I enjoyed it immensely just by myself, I couldn't help thinking about how any of the toddlers in my life would enjoy it so much more than me. So if they come back next year I'll be even happier thinking about how Sage in particular would enjoy such a show.
